Pants on the ground
« on: October 29, 2011, 01:17:05 pm »

I keep finding clothes all over the floor, Its like shirts scattered here and there, I am not sure what it is from but nobody wants to put it in the clothing stockpile...

It is really annoying cause it clutters the parkways, and also many of the bedrooms are covered in clothing as well.

Sounds like a dwarf went all crazy. Most likely stemming from an unsatisfied Mood/Possession.

How old is your fort?  Dwarves have the annoying tendency to throw away old tatty clothes, but they're still classified as belonging to the dwarf.  If you build cabinets in your dwarve's bedrooms, they should put their clothes away.

I've been dealing with this problem, too. There are articles of clothing laying around hither thither(still have a wool cap in my wood stockpile  >:(). Ensuring you have cabinets built for your dwarves sometimes helps. I was thinking it was happening because military dwarves were switching out their clothes for armor, but i haven't tested anything yet.

I used to build a chest and a cabinet in every dwarf's room. After a while, they still left stuff around, though there was some in the containers.
