I'm currently making the admin page (the one that includes the principle and all the school staff) for the school yearbook.

Now our principal is the type of guy who is very strict and very formal, so naturally I should design the page to have a more proper and orderly look.

The only problem however, is that this year's school yearbook theme is on doodles, which look nice, but are by default generally casual and a tad messy looking.

It looks nice and simple as a background for the student council page, but its not really something one would use to present the principal.

Any ideas for how to use a casual drawing style to depict a formal setting?

Lots of geometric forms and more 'artistic' doodles maybe? This and this is the kind of doodling I did in highschool (not just on my hand but it's the only examples I have) so there's lots of interpretations on what a 'doodle' is - it's just an idle drawing you do while doing something else, could be good or bad, messy or awesome, structured or chaotic.

Bit off from the conventional idea of school doodle, but they should work great.
