[33g] Same seed yields different worlds (EDIT: due to mo

As per this thread, the same seed generates different worlds.

EDIT: Discovered that this was due to modding the reaction_standard.txt file

are you even using the same binary version?  I thought the latest ones generate different worlds due to changes (new additions) in the world generation process which would have thrown usage of the prns off.

Also, make sure you are not running diff mods.  They affect world generations too.

I put a link for a reason. It contains seed number (373668154) and a picture of the world generated by the OP and others. It also contains a picture of the world the same seed generated on my system. Is the 5MB of save necessary?

As mentioned in this thread title and the thread I linked to, these are both generated using 33g. The only difference is the original was generated in XP and mine in Vista. I have changed are the init.txt and the standard_reactions file, neither of which should affect world generation.

My apologies. It seems that reaction_standard does affect world generation. With the original version of the file, the game creates the same world as the original seed.
