There are coins for sale in my general store!

This is one of the more amusing bugs.

What are they made out of?  Some of the metals aren't considered currency but are "commemorative coins" instead.

I now have platinum, brass and tin coins in my general stores and crafts markets.

Yeah, that's about right.  Only the coins the bookkeeper requests count as valid currency.  So until you do something that makes the bookkeeper request platinum coins, they're just souvenirs.  And those brass and tin coins always will be merely commemorative.
