My game won't save on save and exit
It is installed to my desktop, and was working fine, saving regularly.
Finally, it crashed once, on an autosave, and shut down.

From this time, the only time that it saves it it's seasonal autosave.  The save that loads, is the one before the crash.  

The seasonal autosaves all have spr-sum-aut-win year.  Which is unusual.  Normally they just say the season, not the whole string.

Anyway, it's rendered the fort unplayable.
Another way to lose?   :p

I had some of those "spr-sum-aut" style names when I had loaded a backup and played it instead of copying it over the main region save.

If you load up fortname-aut-1023, the next winter it'll save as fortname-aut-1023-win-1023.

But on save and exit, it doesn't update the main save

...yes it does.  To the save folder you loaded.  fortname-aut-1053 is now your main save.

I understand what you're saying, but it's my entire game that will not save, none of the folders will update.

The only time that it successfully saves is on a new autosave.

this is for ALL save files

Unzipped all files to a new folder (not on desktop) and copied the most recent save file over to the new install, and save on exit seems to be working now
