what happens when a brook freezes?
« on: October 13, 2011, 04:52:49 pm »

it produces fresh grass underneath:

(z-2, z-1, z=0 respectively)

fun facts:
the brook has it's bed one z-level above the surrounding earth
there is an up to 12 z-level aquifer on this map, going down to the first cavern

this map was frozen from the beginning, so I dont know what would happen if there was magma near the brook and as the map is freezing cold, it won't thaw.

Heh, I had a river just like that before. It was pretty darn funny, a little patch of grass and trees with a block of ice hanging 5 z-levels above.
