Mis-Modded Neighbors
« on: January 30, 2007, 09:06:00 pm »

After trying to stay away, I downloaded another copy and a few mod files:

  • creature_dinosaur.txt (to which I added the raptor)
  • creature_birds_new.txt
  • creature_giant.txt
  • creature_water_undergound.txt
  • creature_cave_giant.txt
  • creature_domestic_new.txt
  • item_foodmod_v1.0.txt

Since some of the birds duplicate, I'm going to try regenerating without.  But these screens are fun:

Odd Neighbors

Lazy, too

Once mods get involved, I can't write down the bug reports unless there's a very clear cause that isn't attributable to an improper entry in a raw txt.  I have no idea what's in those files.

Delete your DF directory and reinstall it fresh, THEN mod it. This can happen when mods stack on mods or when things are changed in mods. Most mod-related issues can be solved by cleaning up your install.

I've done that, leaving out a few of the mods.  Thank you, though.

I tried pulling things out one at a time, but kept getting the above.  Eventually, I just decided to start fresh.  Checking mods is another argument for Dwarf Mode Sandbox.
