Help memorizing "Bonito" Jarabe De Palo
« on: October 03, 2011, 06:39:14 pm »

I have to memorize this song in Spanish by the 13 of October
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEIesu3fvIU I have somewhat memorized the first "paragraph" but I feel like learning the rest of the song is devolving into a "one step forward two steps back" situation.
I memorize songs in Japanese all the time but when I sing, it devolves into gibberish, the same goes for this song.
Help. Please.
edit-broken link and spelling.

Sing along to it with the lyrics in front of you.  Try repeating one verse over and over again until you can eventually recite it by heart, then move on to the next verse and repeat.

When I had to memorize Shakespeare I wrote out the whole monolgue, then read it out loud.

Then erase linking words. Read that out loud until you have it memorized like that.

Take out more words and repeat. Work down to one word a line.

Cut down to every other line.

Get rid of notes and recite.

???

Profit!

Lol, it's not like you picked a hard song to memorize. It's pretty much "Bonito, todo me parece bonito" over and over. Pau Dones is infamous for making songs which are clones of each other, and with extremedly repetitive lyrics. And the man has the gall to compare himself with the beatles
Anyhow, if you need the lyrics they are here
