I am thinking of getting rock nut oil to make soap easier. My current strategy of slaughtering cats and male birds for soap does not seem sustainable. But I have been reading the wiki and there seem to be multiple bugs associated with that industry. For example, apparently multiple workshops will not work if your supplies are in a stockpile. But where else would they be?

Has anyone been able this working. Is it possible to get it going semi automatically or does it need constant micromanagement?

I had absolutelly no problems with this. I simply queue oil/lye/soap production via manager and wait.

Only problems with soap i have is lye production (bugged buckets).

My only probblem with my rock nut oil industry is the lye+water in a bucket bug.

When you start making rock oil/lye it starts getting stored in 1 barrel, till it reaches max capacity(Have seen over 100 in 1 barrel.) So just have 1 soap workshop on repeat for steady production. Always trade for lye( figure that out 10 units a barrel). Use the depot trick for lye/water mixed, or milk creatures which the milkers will empty the contaminated buckets

Now, maybe it's just me, but when I had my rock nut oil line going, I ran out of rock nuts. Seems that grinding rock nuts gives no seeds. Which is kinda obvious in retrospect.

Thanks guys. I guess I was too worried over the wiki. But it seems one should make sure not to grind all of one's seeds.
