Ok I know some people were asking about this a lot. I know the basic about the populations and wealth and all that. But I've been through 6 forts in the last month or so all of them in 4 different worlds. While I do get an occasional siege by whatever force I pissed off I never seem to get titans or megabeasts. I can understand the lack of FB's because I usually breach the cave very late (unless I need wood really badly) but still darn it.

I've genned worlds with ridiculous amounts of megabeasts and sick amounts of Titans. Yet NONE of them seem to be willing to get anywhere near my fortress. I've checked all 4 worlds in legends mode and in the lifetime of all those forts ~70 megabeasts were alive and kicking.

I'm not exactly the man for megaprojects. I like killing stuff and looking through reports of 4th right teeths tearing off limbs. So please. Tell me what I'm doing so wrong, or maybe what I'm too right .

PS. Just to mention I've been playing DF for 2 years or so. I've been through quite a lot forts and I did in fact encounter the same problem last year.

I don't suppose it's possible that you happen to build your forts in places that tend to be or were coincidentally isolated from megabeasts caverns, i.e. an isolated valley, and island, a hacked embark, or just a really boring continent?

Also: If I recall correctly, you need to export some of that wealth. Having it all tucked away in your fort may not attract the attention you're looking for.

Nah I don't embark on boring spots like that. 3 embarks were in a desert pretty much right in the middle of a continent.

As for exporting wealth if I recall correctly that parameter has to be set in world gen (for titans to appear), nevertheless I usually just give all the stuff I no longer need to the traders just to save that bit of fps and job order madness.
