Magma wheel?
« on: September 19, 2011, 05:29:04 pm »

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a magma-powered water wheel?  I imagine it would have to be made of nether-cap, or else require a custom reaction to make metal logs.

Magma doesn't flow in the manner water does, and will not power a waterwheel. Sorry mate, I've wanted to do this as well.

I mean, how dorfy would it be to have a MAGMAwheel?! Power your magma pumps with magma to magma the magmaless!

At least it's easy to create a relatively small dwarf dihydrogen monoxide reactor to pump magma close to magma pools.

Or you could just use a volcano.

That didn't last long, huh? Shame, cause binary's cool. Anyway, an important message: I will be changing my names on every username based thing I use to ASCIt on/around 10/1. Consolidating, I guess you could say.

I belive that even with wood that can withstand the temperature, it will not be powered by magma.

Why am I not surprised that a topic was posted with "Magma" in it, and Necro posted 2 minutes and 7 seconds later.

Magma won't work to power the wheel, though that would be extremely awesome. Wish you could mod that in...
