Strange Adventures in Infinite Space Series

SAIS is a free game that is kind of like a roguelike mixed with exploration and shooting elements. You fly a little space ship across the "sector" to other stars, finding junk to fill your ship with, improvements to help you shoot up hostile aliens, and you may even have to fight off an invasion by evil, super advanced alien invaders called the Yellow Kawangi.

Weird Worlds is the sequel, and features way better graphics, a greatly improved combat interface (targeting an enemy's systems to cripple them, etc. It has lots of cool new things in it, but unfortunately isn't free. It is also quite a bit harder than the original (where Multi-Missile Launchers + a Tachyon Ray Gun with a decent shield could decimate nearly anything short of maybe Tan Ru with Particle Vortex Cannons).

Anyone else play this?

The person supporting regenerating health, when asked why you can see when shot in the eye justified it as 'you put on an eyepatch'. When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.
