So it may not even be a bug

It may just be that Elves don't seperate their kings and queens by gender and refer to them all as Queens.

MIND YOU

I am not sure if that is how it should work exactly... Especially since Elves arn't exactly matriarchical (actually... DF is steriotypically free from sexism)

Though here is the question!

Is a King a male? Or is it that Queens are what we call Female Kings? (which is one of the major pushes for eliminating "Actress" as a word)

Simple... Dwarf monarch:

[POSITION:MONARCH]
[NAME_MALE:king:kings]
[NAME_FEMALE:queen:queens]

...and the Elf:

[POSITION:LEADER]
[NAME:queen:queens]

[POSITION:GENERAL]
[NAME:princess:princesses]

Easily fixed by modding, say

[POSITION:GENERAL]
[NAME_MALE:prince:princes]
[NAME_MALE:princess:princesses]

EDIT: theres a [GENDER:FEMALE] tag but I think the game just ignores it.
I like the proposed fix here. It both looks like it fixes something, and doesn't do a thing at the same time.
