Eye lazer attacks?

Is it doable?

I was thinking of making beholders for DF. Beholders are very dwarfy, imo.

Someone posted for a War of the Worlds tripod some time ago, as I recall it was basically a regular shot attack (See: Magma Crab) that fired a stone that boiled at room temperature.  It worked very well.

No idea, it was one of those things that appeared in another thread, we were discussing something else and this one guy said "oh yeah, this."  It was months ago.
