So my friends and I were just sitting there at lunch when one of them says "You know what? We could probably make the best shooter ever."
Thus sparked the start of a long project that won't go anywhere but will still be one hell of a ride and may reincarnate into a tabletop game one day.
I am Tsuchigumo, the concept artist, plot worker, and gun-happy pencilmonkey of the group. I've made five groups for a world-war framework but absolutely no idea for story.
So, the factions:
THE US-WSW, United States Worldwide Special Warfare division. More than just anti-terrorists, they are the prewar black operations force that can end wars before they start. The US-WSW is known for the gun technology that comes through them first, at the very forefront of weapons design and training with all forms of ranged combat.
The US-WSW was formed from Seal Team Six, after the Nuclear Prevention War. They're larger than the original group but also contains the most elite soldiers, along with the engineers and workers that have the highest level of information.

The VOLK
The Volk are the Russian answer to the end of the Nuclear Prevention War, a sort of defense meant for use during the war should things get to Russia but coming too late. The Russians felt little "fallout" from the war, which was successful in stopping global thermonuclear war. Their borders still held some insurgents, but they were quickly dealt with in an unknown fashion by all but Russia's top dogs.
The Volk are the highest status Spetsnaz, which has seen growth due to the tensions between countries exiting the NPW as a world power. The Volk are outfitted with adaptive camo, which works much like a chameleon's skin when given a power source (A large battery is part of their suit). The suit malfunctions in areas with lots of different colors but has proven to give the Volk near invisibility in nearly all fields of combat. Should the fight reach a city, however, it is doubtful the tactics employed by the Volk would do any good.
The Volk are a fairly small group often backed by other military forces of Russia. Sometimes called the "Wolfpack", they're known for the ability to destroy an enemy without a single shot being fired. (Of course, that's an exaggeration. Still, 1v4 where the Volk has the suprise element? Bad for the four.)

The Supersoldat are Germany's best soldiers, literally translating to "Super Soldier". Known for body armor capable of shrugging off buckshot, their appearance on the battlefield is about the same as a tank, except much more mobile. Formed during an economic boom in Germany, these soldiers receive the best training and equipment. They are not so few in number, but the most experienced that are on par with the other groups is significantly lower.
Their armor gives the power of a juggernaut with only a few layers of protection, and when combined with the absolute arsenal a single Supersoldat carries the potential for destruction is immense. Anyone suicidal enough to try and take one down without explosives should immediately report for psychiatric evaluation.

The SWD-NS (Special Warfare Division Noble Samurai) is China's bid to the post-NPW situation. They threw their tech at the highest bidder during the war and was in the process of making "the perfect soldier's suit" when the war reached an end. The suit was finished soon after and the best soldiers in China were allowed the choice to sign up for "higher training."
Of the applicants, the suits were given out after rigorous testing and Noble Samurai was formed. The soldiers, just as deadly without the suit, are sometimes seen as inhuman by the other forces.
Combining carbon fibers with stolen information from Russia, the Chinese developed not a stealth suit but an offensive one capable of augmenting a soldier's movements, give him the latest technology, raise efficiency and life expectancy of their soldiers and give them superhuman abilities- the solar generators on the suits are capable of holding a massive amount of energy compared to their size, and the suit's systems allow a normal person to punch a hole in cinderblock without pain, run far longer than track stars, and perform feats of agility that shouldn't be possible in bulletproofed armor.
Combined with the EIS (Electronic Interrogation System) and easy access PDT (Personal data terminal- used for mission data, communication, the like) the Noble Samurai are a deadly force.

The QCG are England's force formed from the heroes of the NPW. The Queen's Castle Guard is named in a romantic manner but is known for their prowess, using many combined technologies to outsmart the enemy forces. Having parts of the defense found in the Supersoldat suits, the weapons training of a US-WSW member, the fiber structure (sadly not the augmenting) of the SWD-NS, and unique features such as ear protection from overly loud noises and flashproof glasses/goggles, these are all of Europe's best soldiers put together and ready to mobilize at any time. They work in conjunction with the US-WSW quite a bit.
Their prowess comes from battlefield experience and a blend of technologies used to become jacks of all trades, but they are masters of none. They can't match the stealth of the Volk, the brutal efficiency of the SWD-NS, the inpenetrateable defense of the Supersoldat, or the weapons funding and training of the US-WSW. Still, they are highly adaptable to all situations and are known for smart maneuvers and even smarter escape strategies- one of which was a retreat that set up an ambush for the same enemy to become trapped in and fall to.

So, if you want to throw ideas at me until they break my spine from their weight, go for it.
If not, go sit in the corner and think about your life.
