For later of course. You have to plan ahead. Also, mind if I enacted the idea of running a hero version of this? So people could see both characters develop into full fledged badasses and then duel to the death?

with he kid get the minions to take him thery one gate and straght into the forest we will leave by a diffrent gate (so we dont get acoiated with it) to do some hunting meet up with the boy and find clearing far out but close we want to let the townsfolk hear him and send the hunters in the morning after a hour or two of torture then tie him there and scater traps like bear traps and other hard to spot traps. when the hunters get there one or two won't run to the boy and get injured (hopefuly) then we tell them using domnence that there freinds are weak and idiots and dont diserve to live

the kid would be gaged in a bag and tied (when leaving the city) after tortuer he would be tied to the ground
and finally when the hunters arive we would be nuging them to kill the others

Bear traps are easy to spot, no doubt they are even easier to find if you're an experienced hunter. Why would hunters even bother with helping a kid? That's town guard territory.
