Fixing theese stupid dillemma's i run into all the time?
« on: August 19, 2011, 02:46:23 pm »

Tonight i am lonely because my parents and little sister went to copenhagen to say hello to some family, and i stayed with our puppy, and my computer, she went to sleep and now i sit here with the only new game to play being Crysis.

I had the dillemma, their kids wich are at my age were dicks to me last time, but neither do i want to stay home in this scary house with my hyperactive lil canis canis friend running around and doing shit.
However, having just bought crysis was the tongue on the weight and i stayed home. Now i regret it.

Is there a way to prevent theese stupid "life decisions"? I mean, if you were me, what would you choose? I was tempted to use a random yes/no answerer, but my dignity prevented me from.
Is there some kind of mind wizardry that prevents theese kind of mind hangups? I mean seriously? Where can i find that thing you call sense?

Always choose to go with the more social option, unless something illegal is happening. There are plenty of opportunities for being alone.

Yeah, go out of the house when you have the chance. Life is an adventure! Who knows what each day will bring, and if you sit in your house you will not find out.

Always go with the social option.

Always go with the option that will give you more favorable opportunities in the future.

So, usually socializing > computer games, but sometimes you'll have studying > socializing or even computer games > socializing > studying (you're stressed and you need to buy more freedom to study or work a job or ask that person out or whatever in the future).

Just think: "What will I get out of this now?  What will I get out of this later?  How likely am I to receive another opportunity for this same event?"

And then you make your choice, and by goodness you won't always be right or free of regret, but at least you'll have thought about it a bit more.

(Though spontaneity has an inherent value as well =)

Wow, glad I helped  :)

Just as Vector said, go with options that are better for your future.

You pretty much only regret what you *don't* do. So do it ;)

If you don't like being with them you don't have to go. In my opinion, it's not worth it to suffer slights just for the sake of companionship.
