Not often, but sometimes - when I get a really nice embark of if I've dug a beautiful fort out, I'll come back to it if I lose to something silly - badger related death tantrum spiral or not tapping water in time and dying of thirst due to frozen water (and too complicated to explain why farms not up for booze by this time ). I'll usually have to put a few ghosts to rest and mass reclaim every tile on every level and wait a few years to get all my old stuff back, but yeah - the reclaim is a nice touch, I like the enemies you have to face - your embark changes for it, it's not a FREE fortress, you have to fight for it.
