Assuming that undead will attack Invaders and Siegers, you could have a defense system in a fort that relies on useless migrants when in Evil biomes(again assuming that the process really is automated and they'll rise as undead naturally).
You know that every modder is going to race to make a workshop that spawns boiling-rocks with zombie syndrome.

I hope not. It sort of would get tiresome if every mod from here-on contains some variant of "THIS TURNS THE DORF INTO A ZOMBIE" that is not very different from others, or not different at all.
Too much of a good thing can easily ruin it forever.

Just like with adamantine.

What I'd like to know is how long it would take before modders start turning their dwarves into were-wagons.

I may actually try that. Just to find out what the game does upon attempting to create such a monstrosity due to wagons not having the necessary tags to make them playable.

I wonder... we couldn't make a wagon civ?

The next update is so big that off the top of my beard I can't think of anything to weaponise.

I'm going to guess there's a way to weaponise towns.

Easy! Just embark on one with embark anywhere, and let the puny 'oomans form a barrier between the goblins and your mighty fortress you built under their town hall.

How else would tending to the nobles be kept fresh? If there were only a few set ways to do it surely it would grow boring.

I came buckets a few weeks ago when someone was stunned/dodged a flying/for some other reason was pursuaded to do a header into a wall when a flying body part (courtesy of a serated disk) flew in their general direction. (No combat log to speak of, I just say a flicker + blood trail heading in their direction from the gibbed noble, and they "collided with an object" and BROKE HIS FUCKING NECK.)   ;x

anywho

should we turn this thread into

Poster one
How can you weaponize X, (optional:) Without doing y, (optional:) against z type of victim (i.e. nobles, goblins, FBs, penises, vaginas, armok, physics, the DF.exe. etc).
Poster two
[answer]

usw. ?

Just like flammable liquids in real life - little in the way of explosive concussion, but a nice hot fireball.
If you throw a bag of flour, it bursts in a giant puff of flour. If you light the cloud, it creates a MASSIVE fireball.

You... *cough*

You have tried this?

It's a surprisingly big danger with grain silos.  You can find plenty-o-videos by searching for "Dust Explosion."
