Playlist Adventure Creator
« on: August 17, 2011, 09:27:12 am »

Basically, choose a music player of your choice (iTunes, for example), put all of your music in a play list, and click the randomize/shuffle button six times.

Then it goes like this:
The first song is the theme of the Hero.
The third song is the theme of the Side Kick.
The fifth song is the theme of the Love Interest.
The eighth song is the theme of the Antagonist.
The tenth song is the theme of the Final Battle.
The twelfth song is the theme of the Homecoming.

Here's mine, as an example:

Hero's Theme - Risingson (Massive Attack) - The hero is a troubled kid, lost in a haze of drugs and emotionally numb.
Side Kick's Theme - Think About It (Flight of the Conchords) - Uhh... the side kick is homeless and saved from the streets by the hero. >_>
Lover's Theme - Adios (Rammstein) - The love interest is also a drug addict, it seems. This just keeps getting darker.
Antagonist's Theme - Crazy (Gnarls Barkley) - Aaaaaaaand the villain is a madman. Huh.
Final Battle Theme - Starlight (Muse) - The hero lets go of everything he has to save his love interest from the antagonist.
Return Home Theme - Dalai Lama (Rammstein) - And oh god the hero dies in a plane crash in the end

Oh my god. I swear my iTunes picked the darkest possible songs on purpose.

EDIT: You've forgotten the final battle from the instructions. I added it now anyhow.

Hero's Theme: Dylan (Good Riddance) - Uhh... Some guy whose girlfriend dumped him, I guess.
Sidekick's Theme: Junco Parter (Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros) - The sidekick is a drug smuggler.
Love interest's Theme: C.U.S.T (Ugly Kid Joe) - Guess the love interest's pretty drugged up, too!
Antagonist's Theme: Shame, Rights & Privilege (Good Riddance, again) - The villain is pissed off at the system, and planning to destroy it for revenge!
Final Battle Theme: Waiting For You (Left Alone) - This one kinda sucks. Uhh, the heroes re-unite the badguy with his long-lost girlfriend to cheer him up and stop him destroying society? ??? Probably with the aid of heaps of drugs.
Homecoming Theme: You Know You're Right (Nirvana) - Not a very happy homecoming then, I guess. The heroes all decide they hate each other and split up, going their own ways. :P

...Wow, that was seriously hopeless. I should try this again sometime! :-\

Hero's Theme: ONE STEP (Back-On)
Sidekick's Theme: Sarabande (Homestuck)
Love interest's Theme: Pony Chorale (Homestuck)
Antagonist's Theme: 88 (LM.C)
Final Battle Theme: Crazy Botch (ONE OK ROCK)
Homecoming Theme: どうして君を好きになってしまったんだろう (Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattan Darou) (Tohoshinki)

Yeah, I have no idea. That's what I get for having a library full of Japanese music and Homestuck tracks. Should I try this again with just English tracks?

this thing should have one for Setting as well.

theme of the Hero. Elysium Integer. Some kind of hacker I guess?
theme of the Side Kick. What does evrypony do? (winter wrap up remix). Twilight Sparkle.
theme of the Love Interest. bloodslammer. A doomed alternate timeline version of Dave.
theme of the Antagonist. Cave Story (plantation). Balrog (the box shaped robot, not the LOTR one).
theme of the Final Battle. cmctheme (cutie mark crusaders chiptune). ... I dont know.
theme of the Homecoming. Pinkie Pie's Singing telegram (Postal remix /w vocals). An awesome party!

theme of setting: Scabbard. No idea what this even is, but it sound very erie. The story takes place in "Hidden Fun Stuff" among "cotton candy" and "clowns"?

Hero's Theme – Angel in the night (Basshunter) An hip, modern kind of guy, who is still in love with his ex-girlfriend
Side Kick's Theme – Don't wanna stop (Good Charlotte) A more reclusive guy, who's in a relationship that he's unsure of but can't think of leaving it.
Love Interest's Theme – Wake me up when September ends (Green Day) A morose girl, quite quiet when you first meet her but with a deep, emotional core. She was hurt badly in the past, and still suffers from it such that when any good times start to fade she tries to hide from it, only to come out when everything's gone to shit again.
Antagonist's Theme – Espionage (Green Day) A highly skilled, well-educated agent, working for some corrupt businessman or agency of some kind. Think the spy from Team Fortress.
Final Battle Theme – Awake and Alive (Skillet) The antagonist uses mind games to mess with the hero's heads. He shows them that to the world, the hero is a criminal and the antagonist's boss is a well respected member of society, and he has no chance of winning. Eventually they break out of his control and beat him.
Return Home Theme – Accidental Death (Rilo Kiley) When the hero arrive home someone mistakes him for the antagonist and shoots him, he then has a flash back of his life while he slowly bleeds to death. Whether his friends manage to save him is unknown...

Well, that's depressing...

Hero's Theme: Faster Than A Speeding Bullet (Valve) - The hero is a Fragile Speedster, known for his great reflexes.

Sidekick's Theme: The Wild Rover (The Pogues) - The sidekick is an alcoholic who recently came across the entrance to a massive, loot-filled dungeon.

Love Interest's Theme: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Fish-Men (H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society) - NO.  NO.  NO.

Antagonist's Theme: Carol of the Old Ones (H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society) - The villain is a cultist, whose goal is to bring back the Great Old Ones.

Final Battle Theme: Desperados Ost Green00 (Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive soundtrack) - The hero gets in a one on one western-style pistol duel with the big bad.  Both fire.  The hero lives, the villain dies.  One shot to the head.

Homecoming Theme: We Will All Go Together When We Go (Tom Lehrer) - The hero, and his allies, return home just in time for the nuke the villain launched to hit the town.  Everybody dies.

I like the setting idea.  I'll try it next time.

This is a bit trickier for me to line up some proper storyline due to how my playlist is VERY devoid of lyrics. But hey.

Hero: Act on Invasion
-Guess the Hero is a little bit of a weirdo, still a little heroic in spots but perhaps punk-ish otherwise? And of course my playlist is immediately biased towards a techno like direction.

Sidekick: (Song on my list only known as 'Creepbeat', source is no longer on youtube or at least missing from my bookmarks)
-VERY strange Sidekick, possibly Emo but... Yeah this theme was odd. Chances the sidekick was more some sort of alien or shadow-creature.

Love Interest: Cygnus Rift
-Very fitting track for anything of this sort. Seems like a straight forward 'she's hot and a good girl'.

Antagonist: Revelation(part 1)
-Pretty fitting for a villain in my opinion. Comes off as... I guess a genuine threat? Maybe a bit militaristic? Likely more as a group or force rather than an individual though, unless that individual was some sort of general/military leader.

Final Battle: Revelation(same song, part 3)
-Funny how the same song but another part popped up in the list, didn't expect that. Seems to have been a very short battle.

Homecoming: Extreme G track 8
-I guess he came back to the Antagonist's forces attempting to raze his homeland. Or something worse. Seems to have another battle involved.
 Maybe the sidekick went psycho?

Hero : Lemon Demon - Eventuality : The Hero is a pessimistic who makes sarcastic statements towards pretty much anything positive. (Though I could have wrote this out better if it came up for the villain, simply because of the lyrics pertaining to a nuclear meltdown)

Side-kick : Glorymix_01 (Seige song from Stronghold 2) : A real fighter, who knows the ins and out to the age old art of seiging and defending a well fortified castle keep.

Love-Intrest : Rush - Working Man : The real tomboy, hard worker doing the mans job for him. Get's bored easily, wishing for things greater.

Villain : Super Mash Bros - I'm An Adler Girl : A real gangsta who swears alot and is supposedly the leader of a gang, he also raps. He hates the Hero for not knowing anything about the love-instrest, which I assume he want's for hisself. Nintendo.

Final Battle Theme : the maiden_vocal (Another song from Stronghold 2) : A really slow paced battle where each sides dual while the now effeminate love-intrest sings her hero on to victory.

Homecoming Theme : smallwin1 (Yet another from Stronghold 2) : A short lived celebration.

Setting : (ohmygodwhydidthishappentome?!?!) The origional Tetris Theme : The world is like minecraft, made of blocks. Every once in a while there is a enormous gorge, that is romoured that should anything cross that gap, a section of the world would simply dissapear. So the people build ever upward with their massive structures made of materials that fall from the sky.

Thanks alot, now I can't stop hearing tetris...

Hero's Song: Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
The hero is teen who rages ineffectually at the establishment.
Sidekick's Song: A Warm Place - Nine Inch Nails
One of a few rare people who are full of compassion and understanding.
Love Interest's Song: Crowded Elevator - Incubus
The hero will madly fall in love with the love interest/the other way around, but won't be able to tell them/can't tell them for some reason?
Antagonist's Song: Pet - A Perfect Circle
Pretty clearly the Man, man.
Final Battle Song: Wrap it Up - Whitey
The "final battle" is less a final battle and more the hero coming to grip with society and life and realizing that there is nothing they can do.
Homecoming Song: Spirit - Eluveitie
I...I don't know. Reroll?

Homecoming Song Redux: Lagartija Nick - Bauhaus
Having come to terms with society and himself, the hero becomes just another cog; a slave confined to a cubicle, tricked into believing that the life that they've accepted is enjoyable compared to what they used to want.

I got
Hero's song: Pulse Of The Maggots By Slipknot.
The hero is a grim orator trying to take control of a country, by rallying the scum and the maggots of the earth.
Sidekick's song: I Stand Alone by Godsmack.
The Sidekick is a...rebellious lone wolf warrior, resurrected back before the final fallen.Demon? Who is trying to come to terms with his world changing.
Love interest's song: Riot by Three Days Grace.
The Love interest is emotionally scarred but likes to fight and cause problems.
Antagonist's Song: Children Of The Grave By White Zombie.
The enemy is a mass murderer. Maybe sponsored by the government.
Final Battle Song: Rooster By Alice in Chains.
The battle is long and the characters go through it calmly. They are prepared to fight to the death to protect what their loves and hopes are. The sidekick dies.
Homecoming: Sex and Candy by Marcy Playground.
The Hero is sitting around downtown and he sees his love interest wearing something very cute, like platform double suede. He thinks its a dream but its true.

Damn...That sounds pretty cool.

Let's try this again.

Hero: The Cultist Song (H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society) - The hero is a reformed cultist, who once wished to bring about the return of the Great Old Ones.

Sidekick: The City Falls (Battle for Wesnoth soundtrack) - The sidekick is an ex-soldier.  He has excellent reflexes, but he occasionally has traumatic flashbacks to the time when his birthplace was destroyed by the forces of the antagonist.

Love interest: Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum (The Corsairs) - The love interest, of course, is a pirate.  Because pirates are awesome.

Antagonist: Recruiting Sergeant (Great Big Sea) - The antagonist recruits his soldiers personally.  Also, they have a habit of dying in very large numbers.

Final Battle: The Band Played Waltzing Matilda (The Pogues) - I'm noticing a certain anti-war tone here.  The final battle, as recalled by the hospitalized protagonist, involves massive losses on both sides.  As the antagonist falls, he takes one last shot, mangling the hero's legs.

Homecoming: Lambs at the Slaughter (Defiance, Ohio) - Even the hero's semi-victory just results in him returning to a nation led by corrupt liars and manipulative bastards.

Setting: Tarant (Arcanum soundtrack) - STEAMPUNK!
