You could try the Genesis Mod, it has the option to tan,harvest,cutwood, craft...for adventurers already in it.

I never figured out the Gen crafting system, you mind explaining?

x does the trick, you actually need to be standing on/right next to the thing you're interacting with (like to harvest stand on the plant) Its just like copying what your dwarves do but you can see how they do it.

To create things you must put the components in your pack then Remove them one by one so each is in your hands (similar to multi-weapon/shield glitch) then head over to the crafting thingy and select what you want to do with it.

To butcher in Genesis, you need the instrument (forgot the name) and the corpse (standing over it) then you go butcher it.

I use the Wanderer's Friend mod, and it has the option to craft all sorts of neat tools. It also lets you carve bone and tooth crafts, a nifty way to get ca$h from your hunting (other than selling the meat). You can cut wood (which oddly materializes a pine log from nothing), tan skins, make wooden and bone weapons, even crossbows. No way to gather plants, sow seeds or harvest crops yet, though.

So using this mod is going to make my cave dwelling a LOT easier!

Genesis incorporates and builds on WF's crafting. Just so you know.

Do you think you can make it possible for adventurers to plow farm plots, sow seeds, harvest crops, process plants, and brew drinks in the next release?

This isn't really the thread for discussing it, but. What you are asking for is beyond the intended scope of the mod.

Learn some rudimentary modding and add the reactions yourself, if you want - the farming is impossible, but brewing and processing are semi-doable.

Can you at least make it possible for me to gather the plants from wild shrubs? I don't like setting food afire.

That isn't currently possible. At best you would have something like the wood reaction.

In short, no. If you want those reactions, add them yourself.

I have a clear idea of what my mod covers and magical food from nowhere is not part of it.

How's about magical wood from nowhere?

Y'know, just... Leave it. I'll fiddle around with it and I'll somehow manage to mod these tools and make a living. And I'll forget the meat-cleaver reaction, butchering kills is good enough.
