33c - appraise doesn't work

My main noble has a standard appraise (not notice) but nothing shows up with the value any longer when examining it, and no values show up anymore on the trade menus.

"Main noble" is who? You need a broker with the appraisal skill, and you need your items accounted for.

Of course, it's my only noble. He's also the outpost leader, etc. He's got 2 ranks in appraise and a bunch of other social skills. No value symbols come up at all for anything.

Probably stupid question, but: are his noble requirements fulfilled? Does he have an office to work in?

The appraise skill won't produce actual value estimates until it hits a certain level, Novice I believe.
