Magma Channel to Magma River...
« on: June 15, 2007, 02:41:00 pm »

Yikes. I wanted to set up a tiny smelting operation outside and it turned my entire lava moat into a river. Which I can't get rid of. Ever.

I thought you picked a few squares to change, I didn't know it transmogrified your whole fort! Or did I do something wrong?

At least I have this awesome looking moat now. I just wonder if there are any bugs... or monsters.

I recently used the MC2MR in order to move all my operations to the front of the mountain and away from the magma river, and it works great, and I dont think any monsters spawn from them, though.

Ah, good.  :D I was worried I'd be swamp from two sides by magmamen.

It actually fits the nature of my fortress; every workshop is outside. Moats and marksdwarves provide excellent defense and being outside keeps my dwarves from getting cave adaption!

You mean you don't like the green sea that forms after every goblin siege?  I find it rather amusing... until I go out into the sun and feel a bit nauseous myself!
