I'm not sure.  I'll check next time I butcher some.  If they DON'T, it's easy enough to mod it in.  (and really, they SHOULD if they don't...  you don't get a LOT of meat from a squirrel, rabbit or presumably a cavy, but it's enough that one fat rabbit is good for a stew.  (and yes, I'm a redneck... My family has had fried rattlesnake -- a snake that *I* killed -- for Thanksgiving dinner..)

Well they're tame, right?  If you don't feel like butchering them, just stuff them all in a cage and fob them off on the traders when they come through.

The problem with that is they're grazers.  If you cage them and can't sell them RIGHT AWAY, they will starve to death in the cage.

theirs also the: assign a large population of butcher job only dwarfs and some food only haulers. put the butcher shops outside and get busy with the meat cleavers.

Cavies currently produce neither meat nor bone, only a skull, which is fairly silly given that they were originally bred from wild marmots as a food animal and are raised as livestock in South America to this day.

On the other hand, they eat so little that you can effectively graze an infinite number of them on the same small pasture, so the only drawback of keeping them around is FPS drag.
