Make a pitchblende core to the ship!

Radiation, you say? Nonsense!

Pump up magma and water into it as ammunition supplies. Cast obsidian. Use the obsidian and the floor grate trick to drop bombs.

I attempted that with my ship before. Unfortunately it was a bit hard to include; although in hindsight, I could have linked it to my boiler units.

In regards to how my ship was powered/levitated, the 350 dwarves that gave their lives to the project hold the ship up when the power is usually off, but the boilers give the most output to it.

My next incarnation (next DF release I intend to work on it in) will be much bigger and more complex variation of the same project (Bloodaxe), just in a more advanced version. *cough*shamelessplug*cough*

By my experience, full dedication, this project, depending on settings, will take a few weeks to develop (3 maybe). If real life gets in the way, make that months.

Always nice to see new landlubbers try to take on the skies. I promise my crew is a fair bunch of skyfarers.

*small cough* Magma.

Hmmmm... a true dwarven water reactor would be run by magma. Magma has flow, don't it? What happens if one changes the material for waterwheels to something magma-safe, like obsidian or steel?

Or if that is impossible, uses a magma safe wood, like nethercap? has anyone tried this?

HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS?!

I made my ship back in 40d. Never had a chance to try it out.

Magma cannot push water wheels, but it can be pressurized. Try making a magma cannon!
