Anything that hits a magma flow tile (identified by k, but basically, just every ground tile in the magma sea) gets destroyed.  Doesn't matter if it's magma safe or not.  You can get rid of iron stuff this way pretty easily.  I've been dumping my goblinite into the magma sea for years.  It all goes away.

I prefer to let them into my "welcome" room where theres a mass of 20 dwarves waiting... , just clean up after wards
