Loose Goblin
« on: July 31, 2011, 06:11:05 pm »

I accidentally pitted a goblin into an area of the caverns that is near my staircase down, but can't be accessed without digging through. He keeps cancelling the jobs of all my dwarves who walk past on the staircase and the miners that I tell to dig through to get him. Any suggestions for how to make him dead?

Pit a few lions or bears the same way you pitted the goblin. Preferably tame ones.

If adamantine is perfectly rigid, as shown by having 0 strain at fracture in the raw files, then the speed of sound in the metal approaches the speed of light. Adamantine musical instruments would produce ultrasonic vibrations, and cut off the fingers of the musician.

I tried with some jaguars... and they were butchered. Well, operation Kittens From Heaven begins now.

cave in?

magma?

line the pit boundary with xbow dwarves?

wait for a resident to do the dirty work for you...cave ogre or croc or some such might be enough

build a depot above the area rigged to drop...drop the caravan + guards down when next the humans arrive.

giant badgers.

....

profit!
