Hello,

I hope this is the right place to post since i encountered the following problem after editing the creature_standard.
The only thing i did is putting in [SPEED:30]; [NO_EAT]; [NO_DRINK] like that:

        [INTELLIGENT]
   [TRANCES]
   [BENIGN]
   [CANOPENDOORS]
   [SPEED:30]
   [NO_EAT]
   [NO_DRINK]
   [PREFSTRING:beards]

Now my problem is that as soon as i generate a new world and embark, everyone of my dwarvs IS a heavily injured Reptile, but they keep their original names etc...
Can somebody tell me what i am doing wrong???? (version 0.31.25)

please help and thanks in advance.

That is extremely odd and the only possible explanation I can think of is duplicated raws. Check to make sure you didn't leave any duplicate entries in the creature_standard file while you were editing it.

Yeah, it sounds like duplicated raws to me. That shit is whack, yo.

Testing troll mod, accidentally included second entity file, ended up with civ called "forgotten beast civilization"

Yeah, duplicate raws are fun.
I had a playable human civ who ate cave fish women. And I once played as a GCS who killed cave spiders living in houses.

Strelokoncrack, what was the full name of the file?  As of 31.22, it should not be reading in backup files...(you may just have to change the .txt part).

He posted it - creature_standard - copy.txt
Apparently a manual copy. That's not something Toady can always easily catch.

I saw what he wrote, I was just verifying that it was indeed the full name of the file.

Fair enough. I didn't consider the possibility that the name could be incomplete.
