What are you trying to do? Did you use Hamachi?

Unless you want to bother with port forwarding and that kind of shit just use Hamachi, you can set it up in minutes and it's pretty easy to use, I wouldn't be able to play AI War without it.

Ok here's our non working setup

laptop<->hub<->desktop

and it doesn't seem to work.
the computers are both on a network like 192.168.6.X
laptop 192.168.6.33
desktop 192.168.6.34

ping works from laptop to desktop and viceversa
I really don't see how anysort of virtual network software would help.

I can't even get the Majesty folks to give me the port number Majesty uses for connecting
so I can try to figure out if there is something on Mac os that is blocking it.

Any help here would be good.
TIA,
Scott

Also we are running 1.3.336 and can't seem to get the upgrade to work.
It complains about a missing file?

Anyone have any idea how to start the upgrade on demand?

Rebooting Majesty 2 over and over again to try to get the upgrade to start = not fun!
We do have the check for updates box checked and have clicked the upgrade now button.

We downloaded from direct2drive.com

Doesn't this game use Gamespy for multiplayer? I hate Gamespy so much. I dug around Google a bit and it looks like a lot of other people are having port forwarding issues with this game, and apparently the multiplayer matching system is downright terrible. I think trying Hamachi may be worth a shot, that has solved a lot of LAN issues for my friends and I.

Can you post the exact error message?
