Oh lord, that second team is hilarious. The only one who can take a hit without outright crumpling is the blue mage.

Hmm.

My current party is Monk, Mystic knight, and 2 Rangers.

Mystic knight is the best person there.

I've. Got thief, time mage, beastmaster, and chemist. Disturbingly powerful endgame, though i have to do fork tower and the trench just to get meteo. I have a feeling though that meteo + quick = win. Chemist is abusively strong, and beastmaster gives potent one shot attacks. Time mage is an excellent buffer, and thief steals things while stabbing them for 2k a swing.

So far everyone's pretty durable, but I just got to world 2 so that'll change quickly. Transfusion is pretty awesome though. Fills up someone's MP to full and everyone else can Raise and/or heal the blue mage back. Makes aqua breath/white wind and high end summon spam much more affordable.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

You lucky son of a bitch.

That combo allows you to get X-Fight spellblade which is almost one of the more broken combinations in the game.

At least you didn't do hardmode and get Ninja from Earth. If you had, I would have to kill you for getting access to a method of winning the game in a hilariously easy fashion.

Indeed, he is a lucky bastard. I am actually extremely surprised at how well my party is doing. Turns out almost everything endgame has something that is either A: Expensive to sell and/or useful like wall rings, or B: Has chemist materials such as dark matter or turtle shells, and its all easily stealable. The amount of buffs I can throw out and the potential damage output from quick/meteo/hast2/regen/combine/drink/float is insane. Only downside is I don't think I can kill omega. Threw 8 meteo's at him and did nothing significant. Might try shinryu though.

My main advantage is the fact that I get access to the wide array of blue magics that can be used to abuse boss weaknesses.

For example, Magic Hammer spam. I beat the Crystals like that.

I beat Exdeath because he went "Durr?" and decided to do basically nothing to me while I cast Aeroga on my Carbuncle'd party to hit for 4k a turn.

Well, I won without grinding and at a lower level than I usually do!  Only getting two tablets will do that for you.  White mage, mystic knight, beastmaster, dragoon.  Plenty of damage, but the white magic held it all together...I kept Image up on everyone at all times and usually Shell too.  White was everyone's alt ability (the white mage got Use Whips).

Exdeath only took me one try.  Once I figure out how to screenshot from my Android emulator, I'll do a hard mode run.  Kinda dreading that I might miss out on a white mage though...

My android phone, you hold down the power button for like 1 second then release, and it brings up a list. Also, damn, nice party. I think I may be going for shinryu before taking down exdeath. Sadly, unless combine works on omega there is not a shot in hell of me taking him down, since meteo does at best 500 damage a cast to him. Chemist is actually great for single heals, but the lack of a full party heal REALLY hurts. Good news is that I've learned how good the magic lamp is. Go go Haste2+carbunkle first round for maximum speed and magic protection.

Edit: I have defeated omega. Giants drinks plus protect drinks plus kiss of blessing plus 3 guardian daggers and elf capes slowed down the damage from a berserk omega to a reasonable level, while split shell dropped his defense enough for meteo to start screwing him.

Edit part deux: I have defeated Shin Ryu as well. Pretty much same way as Omega. Kiss of blessing + Giant's drink + Dragon Armor + Dark Sigh + 3 guardian daggers. It is almost depressing how easily the bosses went down. Against Shin Ryu, i almost didn't even use kiss of blessing on him, because I could negate with chemist mixes basically everything. Current issue is with Neo Exdeath. Almagest, of course. Mostly because I am too lazy to go back to the dwarf kingdom and recharge my lamp.
