How would this work though? Dwarves are looking in all directions at all times right now... hell I don't think the game even tracks facing or line of sight.
They move when you're not looking at them. So if you had an invading force, you could pin them down by keeping them on screen and ordering your own dwarves in. Don't look away, even for a second, even to look at the menus, and hope that you're looking at all of them.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Haha that would be fun.

"Hey why is this statue here? I wonder what it is."

Code: [Select]
This is a granite statue. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. The statue depicts an angel weeping.
"Wow, I have a crying angel statue? I don't remember making it. Hey guys move it to the dining hall!"

-goes away to do other things as dwarves move the statue to the dining hall. comes back to a dining hall covered in blood-

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

Code: [Select]
Your fortress has crumbled to its end.

How about they're also statues when the player is observing them?  XD

It would break immersion. I think they should look as if theyre in the same spot all the time, even when they have moved. So when the dwarf goes to check it out, they disapear cause they arent really there. Sort of how remembering where animals were in adventure mode works.
