I'm not sure if this is a bug or just an unlikely event but I just created a world that apparently has not a single merchant or shop in all the world. Anyone have this happen before?

All I can think of right now is some strange variation of Weird Al's Amish Paradise. But I take it this is not a common thing then.

That's unusual.  You've visited all of the many human towns?  The capitals should have a few large buildings...

small towns often dont have shops.  check on the size (map symbol) of what youre visiting

Also, elves and dwarves do not have shops yet, so be sure you're going to a human town.

NO I check out *most* of the humans town (including capitals)and there are no shops but there are a lot of apartments and those little houses that you see in small towns.
