decorated metal item can't be melted?

It seems that any decorated metal item refuses to be melted. I've checked that no one has claimed the item, it's not waiting to be hauled or inaccesible, it's designated for melting in the stocks screen.

Yeah, there were a lot of jobs that didn't take decorated items when they should have.  I think I've caught most of it now.

Just some debris from back when you could do strange things like decorate bars with jewels and so on (years ago).  You wouldn't want to use expensive decorated bars at the forge, necessarily.  That was all taken out, but the debris remained.  There's still more like this floating around, and I note them down as they come up.
