Okay, so I got the new version... and I tried to edit it and add graphics.
Long story short, they didn't work ; my text was all blocky when I loaded the game. So after wondering why it was acting so lame for awhile, I decided " Whatever, I'll play without graphics... "
Deleted everything, re-downloaded DF ( latest version ) and installed, and ran the game. Windowed mode, everything is like... way too big. Same for full-screen mode. Also, the text is really effed up too. Halp?

I swear to god, I've tried messing with the init file for like ever. I am a dedicated fan of DF ; what do I do?

I uninstalled the driver and it still is all effed up...

EDIT:

YES! VICTORY IS MINE!
FINNALY, IT HAS STARTED WORKING WHEN I USED A DRIVER CLEANER!

Just set your driver performance settings to "high quality" or something like that... worked for me when I got this problem.

I just installed an older version of my Driver, and it worked fine. What you did worked as well, I guess. Either way, atleast there's knowledge of how to fix this now.
