I've attempted to found forts with big skeletal mammals outside for ages but can't seem to get anything bigger than a skeletal groundhog or skeletal cat, even with terrifying biomes. Please tell me, how might I see the great skeletal hordes of Battlefailed?

Elephant-wise, an evil tropical forest or shrubland.

I don't think Boatmurdered had skeletal animals, just really, really mean elephants and rhesus macaques.  Battlefailed, they had the skeles.

I'd go with a terrifying savannah; elephants, rhinos, hippos, the fucking works. Personally, I love terrifying oceanside biomes. I have actually had the honour/terror of meeting a skeletal whale.

I had a ditch in front of my base with a drawbridge over it for such an event; I opened the bridge, and as the whale went under the bridge and into the ditch I closed it and now had a pet skeletal whale. He's a monster at killing the goblins I drop in there.
