Urist McAdmin won't do bookkeeping.

I think I've found a bug, but I want to check here in case it's just me missing something basic. My Bookkeeper/Manager/Broker won't do any bookkeeping. He will happily manage job orders, but when I check (n)oble screen it says he requires a meager office even though he owns one. I've tried reassigning bookkeeping to another dwarf and moving his office but neither works.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

does he really own the office or is it a dining room?
or maybe its 2 people with the same name.

Perhaps, you forgot to change bookkeeper's settings to higher accuracy. On lowest setting he does almost no work. And does he have an office that was defined from a chair/throne ? Not a dining room ?

I have and reported it as a bug. I think you should as well, because it hasn't been fixed. I had to promote someone else to bookkeeper to fix the issue. And it's happened in more than one save as well.

In my case, reasigning other dwarf, doesn't work either. It always look like that:



BTW what does blue color (Meager Quarters) mean?

I had this problem as well for higher level rooms, but I fixed it by adding slightly more value to the room (not even to the next value level).
Maybe it requires a specific minimum room value, not value level? (does that make sense?)
