Can't rebuild broken doors?

A troll climbed out of the chasm and smashed the nearest door.  Now I can't build anything on that spot - placing another door, or a trap, or anything, gives me  red X.

Hrm, weird.  I thought I fixed all that, back when it was doing it with floodgates.  Is this the latest version?  I'll note it down.

Heh, this happened to me too.  I thought it was a feature, like tha fire man so utterly destroyed it that nothing could ever be put there again.  I even detailed the area, thinking it might need to be re-smoothed or something.  Made the game a bit more challenging/menacing having an open portal to the lava at all times.
