I can confirm this behaviour; I had a Baroness consort--a legendary carpenter who even had a dedicated workshop--who simply stopped working after his wife became baroness.  Of course, this did not stop the baroness from making wagonloads of *Rope Reed Fiber Cloth*.  I experimented with this for about a year of game time, then reverted back to an earlier save.

The next time, I made sure the lucky dwarf was single.

I suspect that even though the "Baron/Baroness = Lazy" tag was removed, the tag for the spouse remains in place.

In that case, it seems it wouldn't matter whether they were married before or after the dwarf got appointed, since my mechanic married the duke after he was already a duke (although they were lovers beforehand, but after he was appointed baron). I'm pretty sure that she did do some work until the firstborn though...

BTW it's up to 11 months of no work.

Look's like it's a known bug: Noble consort permanently on break
