Bees have impressive transmution and levitation skills.

I saw a beehive on a frozen river. When the river melted, I glanced at it, expecting to see the hive in the river.

Can't post pics for some reason, so link instead.
...That is NOT what I expected. The hive now seems to be made of claystone, or maybe black sand.
Oh, yeah, and it is floating in midair.

Explanation? None that makes sense.
