I think we should spend enough so that it is increased, but while we have 1 point higher than him.
Before, we gained 1 TP for spending 7 TP in a short time; spending 14 TP on this tomfoolery should net us two points (unless it's by percent TP spent; then we'll need one more point). Also, he will be practicing too, and thus spending points too, so even if we spend three times as many points, he'll run out before we do.

Maybe we should just let him train himself while we slowly brainwash in things that involve him always serving us and the like. Also that we are a prophet.

:(  :[  :\  Even if we reach 10000 TP, we can only control so many unwilling people at a time, and our control damages theirs minds, either turning them into either a constant TP drain or relatively useless warm bodies. Why do we not teach instead of brainwash? It worked for our first acolyte, and that way future acolytes (like the pilot) can still do things without our supervision (or the more bothersome direct control), and show some initiative for the interests of the Cult of Clear Thought.
I mean, why can't we just bring people to our side through understanding overwhelming then keep them there through our sheer awesome?

So when we do go find a pilot, lets start by looking for one that would already be favorable to our goals; someone who would be willing to take up work somewhere warmer with only little prodding, and would soon take up the teachings of our future Cult.

Edit: Inadvertant image smilies.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

I would just like to say that maybe some people might not enjoy being made telepaths and not be as favorable to us as our friend is.

Do we really neeed a telepathic arch-enemy?

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

I didn't think we could do anything with crowds yet.

So is the general consensus to just go to the airport? I suppose if we do "commandeer" the plane, there will be plenty of innocent civilians to practice tp on, assuming we could disable all kinds of communication or any hope thereof.

Below for reference.

(So that's what you were waiting on...) Let's begin by testing both of our telepathic ranges, and seeing just how far we can push those ranges, how reliably, and how strongly (by trying to prepare and send complicated thoughts, like a calculus problem or two). So during this, one or both of us will be walking or driving away outside. That should finishing exhausting both of us, at which point we'll both have a snack and go to sleep.

Alright time to get this moving again.
---------------------------------

You saddle up and decide it would be best to leave now, lest another cop shows up. Your ally grabs his car keys and you head out into the crisp Alaskan night air. You board a vehicle and hide in the back while your companion gets into the drivers seat. A dim screen in the front of the car reads 1:00AM. The car motor kicks on with a rumble and you roll off into the night. Heading south on the highway for some time, you pull up to a small airbase, if you could even call it that. A sign on the side of the road, illuminated int the car headlights, reads: "Valdez 35 miles". If you can recall correctly, there's a much larger airport in Valdez. What will you do now?

Don't go to the larger airport, how would you get on the plane? Unless it is still a small non commerical airport, if so go to that one, it will probably have better planes.

Is it possible for us to trick the minds of the people around us into not noticing our reptile-ness? Humans already don't notice roughly 40% of their environment in a day (our brains make many assumptions), so it should just be a matter of keeping them from focusing on our face. It might not even need that much telepathy if we act a certain way and dress inconspicuously. (Think of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it's Somebody Else's Problem field.)

Or we could go openly and put out the mental impression of it being a well-done costume.  :P
