by that i mean that you must capture cities, make them revolt, have the revolutionaries capture the cities, then reclaim the cities and exterminate them this time.

As you can see, our campaign map will be hard, and our battle map will be very hard. I will be relying on your help very much, seeing as im a newbie, so try your best.


I waste no time in getting my spy into Syracuse, as to, well... spy. And due to the chance of him opening the gates when we attack.

I then jack up the tax rate everywhere to very high. Can't get enough money, right?

Take all units on boats, migrate to Jerusalem. Continue. Not as big a migration as is possible, but the biggest is to Britan, which would be stupidly easy.

Edit:Note-by migrate I mean do not use your original cities, at all.

Take out the senate right off the bat.

Easier than it sounds, you can lure their main army in a river-crossing battle, right next to Rome. Of course you'll get attacked by other Roman factions, too, but with mercenary war elephants and all of Rome's wealth you can do that pretty easily, you should only need to fight 2 or 3 critical battles.

At the moment, im bolstering armies with town watch.
Im going to ally carthage, then take syracuse from them.

Not sure if that mouseover on temple of vulcan was intended, or just a coincidence, but if i might suggest something : Start with ports (priority #1), roads / traders.
Vulcan temples are great, but only in cities which have high tier blacksmith.
Also, hastati are worth 5 town watch units when it comes to combat. (maybe i exaggerate, but only slightly)
And peasants are much better in every non-combat task.
Only use Town Watch if you already have some TW units, don't build them.

Syracuse is won via an autobattle. I don't know how. I think they just offered them courtesans to get in.
