[38a] Furniture and Finished Goods Stockpiles Not Workin
« on: February 09, 2008, 01:55:00 am »

Food, drink, leather, and other stockpiles all function normally, but for some reason, even with a Cluttered Masonry surrounded with empty Furniture stockpile and 10 dwarves set only to haul, nothing is being moved.

I'll upload a save when I get time.

I'm having similar issues with my food stockpiles. My dwarves refuse to put plant/meat/seed barrels into the my food stockpile, instead preferring to fill the barrels inside of my brand-new furniture stockpile. One exception being food bought from caravans and brought initially, those barrels havn't moved since I put them in their first food stockpile.

Jamini's issue has been around for a while. I hadn't noticed if it occurred in the 2D version, but I did get a video of it in the 3D version. I think this one was specifically 33a or 33b. It was definitely one of the earlier ones, anyway. Those grates around the stairs at the beginning were there because I had heard that grates over channels prevented the mud and blood from tracking all over the fortress (one of the issues in the earlier 3D versions). You can't see it yet in this video, but they didn't help at all  :(

Okay, I've got the save and I'll take a look at it at some point.

Whiskey_Ninja, the dwarves have "ignore furniture" on in the 'o' standing orders.  Press 'o' 'u'.

I apologize. I don't ever recall turning that on, but maybe I jammed the keyboard at some point.

Sorry for wasting your time on something trivial, but thanks for taking a look. I promise to actually check everything on my side before I throw it on here.

I just wanted to comment that I had this problem too. I do not recall changing furniture hauling order and I do not believe I fatfingered it (although I might have).

It occured shortly after I started the game... possibly immediately after a save. In the beginning, dwarves were hauling furniture properly, but then seemed to stop until I corrected the orders menu.
