Arctic Ocean isn't freezing

The title says it all. I went to the shores of an arctic ocean, with the intent to perform the glacier glitch, and the stupid thing isn't freezing! I checked the temperature, it says it's "Deathly Cold". What's wrong?

first of all, is temperature off? is it summer? Are any of your things giving off heat? anyone of those things could potentially prevent the water from freezing.

I usually just sleep near the ocean and when I wake up, it's frozen.
