How do you open arena mode

how do you open arena mode? I have absolutely no idea and the wiki page has been no help at all, it just tells you how to do stuff in it.

Open Dwarf Fortress. After the intro, if you have it turned on, scroll down to "Object Testing Arena" and hit ENTER. Scroll to the appropriate region whose raws you want to test and hit ENTER. You will now be in arena mode.

You do need the [TESTING_ARENA] parameter in data/init/d_init.txt to be set to YES for this to work.
