Dear Toady,

When I ordered a river of molten flame to be loosed upon the unsuspecting surface-world yesterday, I was quite disappointed to note that the very symbols of our accursed dependence on the sun -- the trees -- somehow managed to escape the wave of fiery destruction. I'm sure you can see that this is a serious problem and needs to be resolved immediately.

Unfortunately yes, I delayed tree death because I did not have fire.  I wanted the trees to burst into flame so you could enjoy the deaths properly, but right now you can't enjoy them at all.  They just kind of sit there and make the red screen look more christmasy.
