I, with Tahin's help, have finished a new tileset that emphasizes a clean and clear feel. You can download it from the NWP fourms at the tileset thread This tileset also features several special features:

1: 16x and 12x square sizes!
2: Diagonal passages are smooth and corner sections are rounded.
3: 35b is designed to make dead graphics set characters look better, replacing the letter for a race to a skull!
4: Install guide included in zip!
5: features more than four special features!

I am taking suggestions for V4, too. I am already planing to have chairs and tables have unique icons- are those tiles used anywhere else? What are some other icons that I can/should improve?

Again, credit goes to Tahin for the great angled corner tiles.

As for the tileset, that text is...  Well...  Horrible.  I don't think I could handle looking at that for any extended length of time.  Nice to see some diagonal walls, though.  

I don't use tilesets though, so I'm probably not the person to talk to.  Just stating my opinion as I pass on by.

Those smooth diagonal walls are fly, yo. I think this tileset should be featured in the next episode of DF Cribs.

The chair graphic is used in 1 wide bridges that are vertical, it forms the top end of the bridge. That's all I can think of.

Those diagonals are pretty interesting. Gonna keep my eye on this project.

Well, thanks for the feedback. In what way is it difficult to read? The spacing is unavoidable in a square tileset; but I can always change the characters. I really do like hearing feedback!

Not bad. The characters definitely need some help, though. The capital U, especially. Actually, other than that U, I rather like it.

I like the look of the game screen, but do not like the letters.
If you improve them (I saw square tileset with letters which seem not to be too wide due to their look) it'll be ok.
Diagonal walls are cool.
