No invaders when there should be
« on: June 09, 2011, 07:46:55 pm »

Hi

I just installed the lazynewbpack and have the invader button on the GUI set to YES, yet its been 3 years without a single invader be it human, goblin, elf, zombie, ect.

One of my craftdwarfs went beserk and killed all my cats but other than that it has been very boring in my fort. 10 axe dwarfs without(formerly dissectors/soapmakers)  anything to do.

Should i set it to NO?

When do invaders usually come? at a certain population? because my fort has about 45-50 dwarfs now

There are a number of different triggers that make invaders come, mainly population and wealth.  But other things can influence whether or not they show up.

I don't know how the lazy newb pack works; does it give you a pre-chosen embark site?  If so I imagine they chose one with access to goblins, but if you chose your own embark site, the goblins might not have access to your site; they could be blocked by an impassible feature like a mountain, or just too far away to reach you in time for a good invasion.
