The Serpentman Adventurer
« on: June 09, 2011, 06:18:02 am »

So, I was just over on the forums, and they said that Serpent-men had a venomous bite. Will this carry over into adventurer mode, and will it affect all creatures? Cos I see the way clear for a legendary biter...

Thanks man! Now to bite the world to death!  8)

P.S. Are dragons/minotaurs/FBs/titans/night creatures/bogeymen immune to poison?

Not sure, probably depends on the creature itself, one way to find out ;D

dont think so, they need tags for different poisons so i doubt Toady has made them immune to every poison ingame, especially when serpent-men arent every1's first adventurer choice :)

Wrong. They need a tag, creature_class:general_poison, or some such, to be susceptible to poison. Bronze colossi don't have this tag (and so they are immune to poison), I'm not certain about the others, but I think that bogeymen, dragons and minotaurs, at least, are affected.

I think serpentman venom paralyzes, and some things are immune to paralysis, which would make the venom worthless on them.

Poisons associated with creatures, like the bite of a Snakeman, do come into play with Adventure Mode adventurers. I have verified this with my GCS adventurer. However, bring a weapon. Your fangs will not do anything against anyone wearing any kind of clothing, period.
Also, Snakemen are smaller than dwarves. Beware prolonged combat!

Damn it! Snake-men are really weak! I was taken down by wolves, but when I went back there with another adventurer I found all their corpses... Poison didn't work fast enough.
