"We’ll keep this brief. You have 3 days to play as much Desktop Dungeons as you can. It’s our brand new E3 demo build, and you can get to it by hitting that big ‘Play!’ button in the top left of the site. The demo runs directly in your browser, using the Unity web player. Enjoy!

The demo will show a partially upgraded kingdom (without the final graphics) and offers no progression — it’s designed specifically for the quick E3 showfloor turnover, sorry! But if you know anyone who’d love to get some playtime with the new improved DD, or just wants a little piece of E3 at home, point them at us this week."

It's a bit unpolished, but there is some stuff to see. Especially for people who haven't played the freeware version.

Actually, our necroing trend comes from the day toady told us he couldn't manage all the traffic & storage on the forums and closed the anything goes board. So instead of repeating ourselves over and over with countless threads on the same crap. we started reading and necroing to be considerate to toady. It's a sign you're new here.

Oh dear. New. On an internet forum? Why not just call him a low-down $@#@#!!! while you're at it!

Seriously, I think this was before 2008, so new doesnt quite describe it.

"I have a puppy instead", which while maintaining a polite tone, is quiet, calculating character assassination against Toady. Do some of you not see it as such, backstabbing?

At least spell my name right.

UI is buggy at adventure start. the class selection buttons are sitting on top of my town interface.

Hey ! It is not really buggy, but rather a lack of feature : what we see now is a quick hack for E3. The actual beta phase might start in July.

For those who know well the original version it is fun to see the potential. For new comers, I don't really know... The original freeware is much more polished.

Reckon the town UI isn't finished yet, likewise, the upgrading path for town isn't either. There's more stuff not in, like gods, and heaps of other outside features.

The classes/races are however put on the 'correct' building, so it's a template alright.
