I had a peasant make a mule bone bin during a fey mood.  Shortly afterwards I noticed the description became:

"Hideplain," a mule bone bin <12>.

It looks like someone designated it for a stockpile.  As far as I can tell, this hasn't affected anything as the dwarf still carries the bin around with him, but it seems kinda weird.

Okay, I've noted it down.  It might just handle itself when artifact creators don't treat large pieces of furniture as prized inventory objects.
